The Barkas B1000 was a van and microbus produced between 1961 and 1991 in the former GDR, notable as the only vehicle of its class manufactured in East Germany. Primarily used across the GDR, the Polizei microbus version was specially adapted for police needs, featuring warning lights, sirens, and interior modifications.
