The set includes two interchangeable plates with the name of the locomotives to choose from: German BR 52 and Polish Ty2. The COBI company has also produced its own shape of a block recreating a section of the track. The set includes five such sections with a total length of about 65 cm. The track is made with the modern technology of two-colour injection, which means that each single section is made of two different colours of plastic that are connected to each other. The rails in the colour of grey steel clearly stand out from the very realistic brown railway ties. There are no visible tenons (studs) on each tie, which improves their realism, and each of them is covered with a board texture, an imitation of wood grain. Tracks can be attached to block plates and have a physical hole, thanks to which you can permanently attach the track to any display you create. The BR 52 or Ty2 or Ty42 was a German-built freight steam locomotive, produced in many European factories from 1942 to 1945. It was a very cheap, simple, yet a very reliable steam locomotive. In Poland after World War II, more than 1,200 of these vehicles were used by the Polish State Railways. The locomotive was able to pull freight trains with a total weight of up to 620 tons at a speed of 80 km/h or 1,700 tons at a speed of 50 km/h. The locomotive was also used many times to haul passenger trains.
