Seehund (Type XXVII B) was a midget submarine produced in Germany at the end of World War II. Designed in 1944 and manned by a crew of two, it was used by the German Navy in the final months of the war. One of the few surviving ships is exhibited in the Deutsches Marinemuseum.
The block U-Boot TYPE XXVII "SEEHUND" was developed in 1:72 scale. The 1:144 scale used so far for submarines turned out to be too small for such a small submarine. The use of the 1:72 scale made it possible to reproduce the characteristic shapes of a real ship. All graphic elements are high-quality, durable prints. The set includes a block display stand and a plate with the name of the set printed on it. Our Historical Collection isn't complete without this sub.
